CAT Policies


Classes
- Our classes are 55 minutes in length, unless otherwise noted. At least a minimum of 4 students must be registered for the class in order for the class to continue.
- Student’s age must fall within the class age range by the 1st week of classes in order to enroll in the class.
Tuition
- Registration fee of $25 is applicable for new students and returning students. This fee helps offset the administrative cost of setting up your student in our studio-class-management system and helps keep your monthly tuition costs lower.
- Drop in class fee: $15 non-registered /$13 registered student. Must fill out forms and pay before taking class.
- Tuition will be AutoCharged on the 7th of each month; a credit card must be on-file with Christian Arts and Theatre.
- A $10 late fee will be distributed on the 7th of each month if tuition is not received.
- Registration, fees, and tuition are non-refundable.
- To drop a class /classes and stop AutoCharge, you must call the office by the 15th of the month to avoid being charged the next month’s tuition. General Behavior
- Participation in Christian Arts and Theatre is a privilege. We expect only kind and respectful behavior.
- Name calling, swearing, foul language or bullying is not tolerated. CAT expects students to be respectful to everyone and the property as well.
- CAT expects purity of self in relationships with others. Overt physical contact is inappropriate.
- Drugs, alcohol, vaping, and smoking are strictly prohibited. Drop Off/Pick Up
- We encourage students to arrive 10 minutes before class starts.
- We will have a CONE ZONE for Drop OFF ONLY and PICK UP! Note: the CONE ZONE is not for you to park and get out of the car. If you want to get out of the car please park in the parking lot.
- Children should be picked up immediately after class.
- IF you are more than 20 minutes late your account will be charged with a late fee of $25. Covid Guidelines (changing according to the State)
- Masks are required to be worn when in class.
- Temperatures will be taken before entering the building.
- Hand Sanitizer in every classroom.
- Smaller class sizes. Showcase Performance
- Each child enrolled in a class will perform in a Showcase at the end of each session.
- Tickets for this event may be purchased online or at the door.
- Tickets will be $5 each. Auditioning for Productions
- In order to audition for our productions children must be ages 8-18.
- Each participant must be enrolled in ONE class in order to audition.

ACT/SING COMBO - MON 3:30PM
An introductory class for students learning the basics of acting and singing. Students will build skills to speak in front of an audience and learn how to sing as a group. They will learn basic singing techniques to help find pitch and work on acting skills to develop a character. This class is designed for “first timers”.
SING/DANCE COMBO - MON 4:30PM
An introductory class for students learning the basics of singing and dancing. Students will build skills in dance and learn how to sing as a group. They will learn basic singing techniques to help find pitch and work on dancing skills to learn how to move. This class is designed for “first timers”. JAZZ/BALLET COMBO - TUE 4:30PM
This class is a prelude to formal dance instruction by introducing the positions, shapes and postures of traditional.




Ages 7 - 9


*Note: If cast in any productions you shouldn’t register for a class on Thursday’s after 5pm due to rehearsals taking place. JR. ACTING - MON 3:30PM & 5:30PM
An introductory level class designed to teach core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to stretch some new acting muscles and gain confidence in their performance skills.
JR. MUSICAL THEATER- MON 5:30PM & 6:30PM, TUE 3:30PM An introductory level class designed to teach the basics of musical theater. This class will focus on the three main aspects of musical theater, acting, singing, and dancing. JR. JAZZ- TUE 4:30PM
This introductory class will be high energy and cover the basics of jazz dance. This class focuses on technique and style through strong and sharp movements. It emphasizes strength and stretch in warm up and practices technique across the floor and choreography center floor. JR. BROADWAY JAZZ - TUE 5:30PM An introductory class where students will build upon the foundations of creative movement to learn the fundamentals of jazz. Broadway has a variety of dance styles that every musical theater performer should learn. They will use their movement to highlight the elements of a musical theater piece, while further developing their skills in jazz. JR. VOICE (AGE 7-9) - TBD In this class, students will be exposed to more extensive vocal techniques. This class will work on strengthening voices through vocal warm-ups, breath support and more complicated melodic lines in musical theater songs as well as soloist work. Audition techniques will also be covered.




Ages 10 - 12


*Note: If cast in any productions you shouldn’t register for a class on Thursday’s after 5pm due to rehearsals taking place. TAP 1 - MON 3:30PM This tap class will introduce the basic foundations of tap dance to create strong and fast ankle work and complicated rhythmical patterns. They will be introduced to faster footwork and more challenging musicality in class. Students are now accomplishing more difficult progressions and turn sequences. MUSICAL THEATER 1 - 4:30PM MON & WED An introductory level class designed to teach the basics of musical theater. This class will focus on the three main aspects of musical theater, acting, singing, and dancing. Class activities will involve theater games, vocal scales, singing and breathing techniques, memorization exercises, dialogue, stage and theatrical terminology, dance styles, focus techniques, audition tips, and general fun and silliness! VOICE 2- MON 4:30PM
In this class, students will be exposed to more extensive vocal techniques. This class will work on strengthening voices through vocal warm-ups, breath support and more complicated melodic lines in musical theater songs as well as soloist work. Audition techniques will also be covered. MUSICAL THEATER 2- MON 5:30PM This is an intermediate level class for a more in depth look at the three aspects of musical theater. This class will help develop performance skills and help grow the student’s understanding of different musical theater styles. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced theater games, improvisation, voice and singing techniques, intermediate acting, intermediate dance, and more complicated choreography. VOICE 1 (AGE 10-12) - TBD In this class, students will be exposed to more extensive vocal techniques. This class will work on strengthening voices through vocal warm-ups, breath support and more complicated melodic lines in musical theater songs as well as soloist work. Audition techniques will also be covered. JAZZ 2 - TUE 4:30PM This intermediate jazz class is perfect for students who have already taken a beginning jazz class. Dancers will improve and refine their technique and abilities through more challenging steps and choreography. Emphasis will be put on improving leaps and turns. By this point dancers should be developing style, strength and power in their dancing. LEAP-TURNS-TECHNIQUE - (AGE 10-14) TUE 5:30PM
This class will focus on the skills of improving in jumps and leaps, turns and dance technique. Other aspects that this class will work on are; stretching, center floor combinatns and across the floor progressions. JAZZ 1 - TUE 6:30PM This beginning jazz class will introduce dancers to the technique and style of jazz dance. It will incorporate body strength, agility, style and flexibility to continue building the fundamentals of jazz dance. Your dancer will gain body coordination, style and power in their dancing. There is a strong emphasis on across the floor and learning choreography. BROADWAY JAZZ - TUE 6:30PM
An intermediate class where students will build upon their understanding of jazz dance and learn how the style translates to stage. Increasing their skill-set in timing and musicality, students will experience several styles of Broadway dance. They will use their movement to highlight the elements of a musical theater piece, while further developing their skills in jazz. ACTING 1 - WED 5:30PM
An introductory level class designed to teach and strengthen core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to lay a strong foundation in developing a character, making strong movement choices, and contributing to a final group performance. ACTING 2 - WED 3:30PM Once your child has acquired some basic acting knowledge, this class is the perfect next step that encourages them to find individual acting style, and we will focus on expanding basic acting skills to show each student how to create a performance that stands out and shines. DRILL TEAM (AUDITIONED CLASS) - WED 5:30PM Come try this new class! This team will be in the style of the Rockettes. This all girl team for ages 7th grade to 12th grade will learn precise routines incorporating tight formations, synchronized choreography and parade style marching and commands. Props such as riffles, ribbons, hats and canes will be incorporated. There will be a costume fee (TBD). Audition date: December 12th from 9am-3pm. Call the office to sign-up. STAGE MAKE-UP - 12-18 WED 5:30-7PM




Ages 13 - 18


*Note: If cast in any productions you shouldn’t register for a class on Thursday’s after 5pm due to rehearsals taking place. TAP 2 - MON 4:30PM Tap focuses on rhythms and patterns in footwork through proper technique, as well as personal style and producing clear sounds. This class includes a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. As student’s progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. A CAPELLA - MON 6:30PM This is an intermediate/advanced vocal class for the experienced singer. Students will learn how to harmonize with no background track through practicing harmonies, tone quality, and keeping on pitch. AUDITIONED PLAY CLASS PRODUCTION - MON 5:30-8:00PM AUDITIONED CLASS! This is an auditioned production class focusing on acting and developoing character through learning and performing in a Play Production. Students demonstrate and practice the fundamentals of rehearsing for a live performance. Auditions for this class are TBD. We will email audition prep sides the week before auditions for students to prep. We ask that you also sign up for a SECOND CHOICE CLASS just in case you are not cast in this class. More details to come. LEAP-TURNS-TECHNIQUE - (AGE 10-14) TUE 3:30PM
This class will focus on the skills of improving in jumps and leaps, turns and dance technique. CONTEMPORARY - TUE 6:30PM Contemporary utilizes both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet, modern dance’s stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, the improvisation characteristic of modern dance and the power and wow factor of jazz dance. Previous dance is recommended. ACTING 3 - TUE 6:30PM
An advanced level acting class for those who already have experience in performance, acting, and who have taken a lower level class previously. The students will be given advanced tools to further explore acting techniques and begin to find an acting style that works best for them. STUNTS AND COMBAT - TUE 7:30PM This class focuses on stage combat fighting in a safe and fun environment. Students will learn the basic skills of how to fight on stage but make it look real. They will incorporate props such as fighting sticks, swords and even learn the skills of how to roll, jump and flip. MUSICAL THEATER 3 - TUE 7:30PM
An advanced level class for those who have adequate experience in musical theater and who have taken a lower level class previously. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced techniques, voice and singing techniques, advanced acting and complicated choreography. The students will be given tools to further explore the techniques and styles used in musical theater. ACTING 2 - WED 4:30PM & 5:30PM
An intermediate level class designed for students looking to sure up the basic acting abilities they have. This class is very ideal for those who have some experience with acting, or who have focused on song and dance and want to become a well-rounded performer by deepening their knowledge of different acting techniques. TAP 3- WED 4:30PM Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. This class is for the advanced tap dancer. This technique class will focus on faster and more intricate footwork. The dancer at this level will develop speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute to complex rhythmic combinations. Students will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. Tap shoes are required. IMPROV/THEATER GAMES - WED 6:30PM This intermediate/advanced class will branch off the fundamentals of improvisational comedy and dive more into the detail of creating scenes and solutions through scene work. They will learn to play in a fun and supportive environment. It will provide students with a strong foundation in improvisation that promotes creativity and personal growth. (AUDITIONED CLASS)- UNITY DRILL TEAM - WED 5:30-7:30PM Come try this new class! This team will be in the style of the Rockettes. UNITY GIRLS DRILL TEAM: “AUDITIONED CLASS” Auditions on July 29th and 30th from 10am-1pm PRICE $90 Ages 12-18 (WED 5:30-7:30 each week)
Come try this new class! This team will be in the style of the Rockettes. This all girl team for ages 7th grade to 12th grade will learn precise routines incorporating tight formations, synchronized choreography and parade style marching and commands. Props such as riffles, ribbons, hats and canes will be incorporated. There will be a costume fee (TBD). *The first 2 weeks of class will be considered auditions/evaluations.*

Initial Consultation


You and your parents will meet your allocated Veterinary Educational Consultant who will act as your vet school tutor, they will explain our process and answer any questions that you have. You will leave with a better understanding of what the programme entails, with a clear plan for how we are going to maximise your chances of receiving an offer to join a Veterinary Medicine Degree Course. They will provide all of the vet school application help that you need.




Your Development Plan


With your vet school tutor, you will develop a personalised vet revision timetable for the entire process. Using our formula, we will take you through each and every stage of your process. It will cover all of the aspects below including your Animal Work Experience, Veterinary Medicine Personal Statement development and Vet School Interview Questions. After developing your plan, you will have an outline and better understanding of how to tackle the admissions process.
