Want to join a CAT Class?
CAT holds two, 15-week sessions (Fall & Spring). Students are given the opportunity to perform in a Showcase at the end of each session.
Classes are once a week for 55 minutes (unless otherwise stated).
Or be in one of our Productions?
Kids 8-18, who are enrolled in at least one class, are eligible to audition for our production that session.

1 Class: $75/month
2 Classes: $125/month
3 Classes: $180/month
4 Classes: $230/month
5 Classes: $275/month (add $20 for each additional class beyond 5).
Mini Musical Theater (ages 4-6) An introductory class for students learning the basics of acting, dancing and singing. Students will build skills to speak in front of an audience and learn how to sing as a group. They will learn basic singing techniques to help find pitch and work on acting skills to develop a character. This class is designed for “first timers”.

Jr Acting (ages 7-9)
An introductory level class designed to teach core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to stretch some new acting muscles and gain confidence in their performance skills

Acting 1 (ages 10-13)
An introductory level class designed to teach and strengthen core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to lay a strong foundation in developing a character, making strong movement choices, and contributing to a final group performance.

Acting 2 (ages 12-18)
Once your child has acquired some basic acting knowledge, this class is the perfect next step that encourages them to find individual acting style, and we will focus on expanding basic acting skills to show each student how to create a performance that stands out and shines.

Acting 3 (14-18)
This advanced class guides students to master character development, scene study, and audition techniques. Focusing on individual style, participants refine physical and vocal dynamics, culminating in collaborative projects that showcase their unique acting prowess.

Improv
This intermediate class will branch off the fundamentals of improvisational comedy and dive more into the detail of creating scenes and solutions through scene work. They will learn to play in a fun and supportive environment. It will provide students with a strong foundation in improvisation that promotes creativity and personal growth.

Sketch Comedy
A fast-paced class focused on performing short comedic scenes and plays while creating a wide variety of funny and relatable characters. This class for ages 14 and up who have taken Acting 2 or improv already, or at the same time

Tap Basics (7-12)
This beginner-level tap class focuses on developing a strong foundation in tap dance. Students will learn fundamental steps, rhythm patterns, and proper technique while building coordination and confidence. Emphasis will be placed on timing, clarity of sound, and simple progressions to prepare dancers for more advanced skills. Perfect for those new to tap or looking to solidify their basics!

Beginning Tap
This tap class will introduce the basic foundations of tap dance to create strong and fast ankle work and complicated rhythmical patterns. They will be introduced to faster footwork and more challenging musicality in class. Students are now accomplishing more difficult progressions and turn sequences.

Beginning/Intermediate Tap

This class includes a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. As student’s progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. *Previous Tap Experience Required

Jazz 1
This beginning jazz class is perfect for students new to jazz or those with limited prior experience. Dancers will learn fundamental jazz techniques, basic terminology, and explore rhythm, coordination, and musicality. Classes will focus on building strength, flexibility, and confidence through across-the-floor progressions and fun, age-appropriate choreography. This class lays the foundation for leaps, turns, and stylistic movement introduced in higher levels.

Jazz 2
This intermediate jazz class is perfect for students who have already taken a beginning jazz class. Dancers will improve and refine their technique and abilities through more challenging steps and choreography. Emphasis will be put on improving leaps and turns. By this point dancers should be developing style, strength and power in their dancing. *Previous Dance Experience Required

Contemporary
Contemporary utilizes both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet, modern dance’s stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, the improvisation characteristic of modern dance and the power and wow factor of jazz dance. Previous dance is recommended. *Previous Dance Experience Required

Musical Theater 1
An introductory level class designed to teach the basics of musical theater. This class will focus on the three main aspects of musical theater, acting, singing, and dancing. Class activities will involve theater games, vocal scales, singing and breathing techniques, memorization exercises, dialogue, stage and theatrical terminology, dance styles, focus techniques, audition tips, and general fun and silliness!

Musical Theater 2
This is an intermediate level class for a more in depth look at the three aspects of musical theater. This class will help develop performance skills and help grow the student’s understanding of different musical theater styles. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced theater games, improvisation, voice and singing techniques, intermediate acting, intermediate dance, and more complicated choreography *Previous Musical Theater Experience Encouraged

Musical Theater 3
An advanced level class for those who have adequate experience in musical theater and who have taken a lower level class previously. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced techniques, voice and singing techniques, advanced acting and complicated choreography. The students will be given tools to further explore the techniques and styles used in musical theater.

Basic Makeup (ages 10-13)
In this one-day class, we will review the main stage base makeup kit step by step. You'll learn how to find products for your kit, how to apply each step, and how to maintain your kit between shows.

Theatrical Hair & Makeup (ages 14-18)
Explore the art of theatrical transformation in our Fall session Stage Hair and Makeup class. Learn essential techniques for stage makeup and hairstyling, character design, and special effects. Gain hands-on experience in applying durable, impactful looks for live performances. Perfect for aspiring makeup artists, hairstylists, and theater enthusiasts, this class requires no prior experience, just a passion for creativity and detail.

5:30pm - 7:30pm Ambassadors (11-18) Hollee & Bryan
This is an advanced auditioned performing group for the ages of 11-18. This triple threat class will focus on a variety of musical genres, vocal technique, staging and choreography. Throughout the summer students will be performing at amusement parks, community outreach events, senior centers and more. The expectation for this class is that you are committing to the class from January to April and Performances starting April and running till August. BIG COMMITMENT! Performances prior to June will not interfere with show schedule or public school hours.
CAT Girls Inspire Choir (ages 10-15)
In the CAT Girls Inspire Choir, our students take part in weekly choral rehearsals that cover warm up techniques, music literacy, part singing, as well as performance and presentation skills. They delight in a wide range of choral repertoire, build long-lasting friendships, and learn teamwork…all while having fun at CAT! This course will also focus on empowering young women to find their inner voice, be confident in the strength of their bodies as singers, and provide a safe and positive environment for them to grow as young female musicians.
Audition Prep (ages 11-15)
In this engaging and interactive course, students will hone their acting skills, build confidence, and master the art of auditioning through personalized coaching and practice sessions. Participants will receive expert guidance on monologue selection, character development, and performance techniques to help them shine in any audition. Get ready to take the stage with confidence and make a lasting impression!

THURSDAY'S FULL-DAY CLASS from 9:30am - 2pm
This is a 15-week session for homeschool students ages 7-18.
Acting with Audrey B.
This class welcomes both beginning and experienced young actors who are ready to grow in their craft. Students will explore character development, physical and vocal choices, and script analysis through games, scene work, and ensemble exercises. Beginners will build a strong foundation in acting fundamentals, while more advanced students will be challenged to refine their personal style and make bold, specific performance choices. The class culminates in a group performance that showcases the individual growth of each actor.

Dance with Sanlyn C.
A high-energy class focused on jazz technique, musicality, and performance quality. Dancers will work on coordination, strength, and flexibility through warm-ups, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Students newer to jazz will learn foundational terminology and movement, while those with more experience will be challenged with stylized choreography and technique-focused drills to enhance leaps, turns, and stage presence. All students will leave class more confident in their ability to express story and emotion through movement.

Voice with Emilio P.
This class is designed to strengthen vocal technique for young singers at all levels. Students will work on breath support, pitch accuracy, and blending through engaging vocal warm-ups and exercises. Beginners will focus on foundational skills and simple musical theater melodies, while more experienced students will tackle more challenging material, including solo work and harmonies. All students will also learn essential audition skills and performance techniques to bring confidence and artistry to the stage.

Musical Theater
This triple-threat class combines acting, singing, and dancing to help students grow as dynamic musical theater performers. Through ensemble numbers, character-driven choreography, and scene work from popular musicals, students will learn how to tell a story through movement, voice, and emotion. Beginners will gain a strong foundation in all three areas, while more experienced students will be challenged to refine their technique and make bold performance choices. The class will culminate in a musical-style showcase that celebrates the students’ growth and collaboration.

This is a production opportunity for kids ages 7-12 who are eager to perform onstage. Students will learn the elements of singing, dancing, and acting in a real live stage musical held in our very own BLACK BOX THEATER.
