Why Give?
This is a Purr-fectly Wonderful time to give to CAT of Corona. Here's why:
Over the past 12 years, CAT has brought tremendous value to our community and beyond. More than 5,000 kids have participated in CAT programs, finding it a place where they are valued for who they are and given opportunities to grow their unique gifts and talents. With the recent spate of horrible news regarding teen bullying, it's a blessing to know that kids feel safe and accepted here. One 11 year old boy, who has experienced bullying at his public school, told his mom, "If I could just go to school at CAT every day, my life would be perfect."
You may wonder if there is any LONG-TERM Value in your giving:
Look at the kids who have grown up in CAT. How have we contributed to their futures? Their learned skills of singing, acting, and dancing earn many of them scholarships to fine university programs. Beyond the obvious, however, they've developed strong leadership and communication skills. Unlike many other organizations that separate kids by age, we encourage the older students to mentor the younger ones. CAT kids learn tenacity and self-discipline, experience failure and are taught healthy ways to deal with the truth that life isn't always fair. They experience the great joys of achievement earned through commitment and teamwork, and the adrenaline rush of being appreciated for a job "well done".
WHY GIVE NOW?
In light of one of the worst economies in recent history, the CAT leadership team is unanimous in our resolve to build a solid foundation to continue the programs of CAT into 2011 and beyond. As this exciting new year unfolds, we are excited by all the growth and expansion opportunities that are waiting to be explored. We are building our reserves and solidifying our base so that we may continue to provide high quality services to our patrons as well as to offer opportunities for those who cannot afford to participate.
We would like you to consider CAT as you look at your giving opportunities as well as charitable gifts.
